Churches

If your church is interested in getting involved at the Children Shelter of the Upstate here are just a few ways you can make a BIG impact in the lives of our children.

  • SUPER Church
Bring you ministry to our kids during SUPER Church!  Sing songs of worship, make crafts, and share the love of Jesus with our kids.  SUPER Church is held each Sunday from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Contact Tammy Mason Nolen to learn more about SUPER Church opportunities.
  • Donate Money
Monetary donations from local churches are vital to our organization.  The dollars your church gives to the Children Shelter of the Upstate helps us to take care of the precious children we serve.  To make a monetary donation from your Congregation, Youth Group, or Sunday School Class please contact Jennifer Crook Bauer.
  • Youth Group’s, Sunday School Classes and Prayer Groups
We need groups large and small to take part in projects that help to make the Shelter a better place for the children we serve.  Projects previous groups have done are landscaping, organizing and cleaning out our clothing closets, painting rooms, and making updates to our playground.  To get your group plugged in please contact Tammy Mason Nolen.  

Corporate Giving Opportunities

Many companies large and small support the Children Shelter of the Upstate via matching gifts, in-kind gifts, and event sponsorships. 

Sponsorship

Event sponsors are needed throughout the year during our fundraising events Auction for a Cause, Fashion Show – Luncheon & Gift Market, and Table Tops.

United Way

You can designate Children Shelter of the Upstate, Inc. as the recipient of your gift to the United Way by following these three steps:

  1. Request a Donor Choice Form from your United Way Coordinator and under the "Specific Care" selection, write in:

  3. Attach the Donor Choice form to your pledge form

Complete the United Way form and designate your gift to Children Shelter of the Upstate.

In-kind Gifts are vital to our operations.  We have two wish lists A) Large Items (Great for Large Groups) B) Smaller Items.

Matching Gifts

Many corporations match employee gifts, offer employee payroll deduction, or provide a forum for employee-driven fundraising events. For every charitable gift to Children Shelter of the Upstate, Inc. from an employee, your company may match a percentage of that donation.
